Quick answers
Frequently asked questions about the polishing system
What is the difference between one-step and two-step polishing?
The one-step system removes light paint defects while producing a clean finish. We recommend
Black One
together with the
Medium One-Step Pad
.
The two-step system is intended for heavier paint defects. First, Max Cut and the Max Cut Pad correct the defects. Perfect Finish and the Perfect Finish Pad then create a clear, high-gloss finish.
Which polish goes with each main system pad?
Our three main combinations are designed to work together:
Max Cut with
Max Cut Pad for heavier defects
Black One with
Medium One-Step Pad for light defects and finishing in one step
Perfect Finish with
Perfect Finish Pad for hologram removal and high gloss
When do I need a specialist pad?
For most applications, our main system pads are the right starting point. Specialist pads are useful when paint hardness, the surface or the required level of cut calls for a different approach.
Ultra Cut Dual:
stronger cut on hard paintwork and GRP
Ultra Soft:
sensitive paintwork and maximum gloss enhancement
Microfibre and Wool:
intensive defect correction for experienced users
Which pad size and quantity should I choose?
The pad size must suit your backing plate and the area being worked on. Large pads suit larger areas; smaller pads suit narrow sections, edges and hard-to-reach areas.
Individual pads are ideal for testing or smaller jobs. If you polish regularly, keep several pads ready so you can change them and continue working with clean pads. Choose the available sizes and quantities on each product page.
Can I combine the polishes and pads differently?
Pro
Yes. The combinations shown are matched recommendations designed to give reproducible results, rather than a rigid system.
Experienced users can adapt cut and finish to the paint using different polishes, pads, machines, speeds and techniques. Always start with a test spot when trying an unfamiliar combination.
What matters is the actual polishing result – not just the name of the polish or pad.
