Application & pad selection

The Max Cut pad is our controlled starting combination for most paint finishes. It combines strong correction with a clean polishing result. The reticulated foam retains its shape even as heat builds up. Always start with a test spot.

  1. Prepare Centre the pad on the backing plate and apply Max Cut compound sparingly.
  2. Polish Work in overlapping passes with a dual action or rotary polisher. Monitor pressure and temperature.
  3. Clean and inspect Blow out the pad regularly and check the result. Refine with Perfect Finish if needed.

If the cut is insufficient on very hard paint or GRP, switch to Ultra Cut.

Care

  1. Blow out Remove residue regularly during use.
  2. Clean Clean with lukewarm water and pH-neutral shampoo. Do not use aggressive cleaners.
  3. Dry Allow to air dry and store in a clean, dry place.

Avoid edges and replace damaged pads.

When is Max Cut the right choice?

Use the Max Cut pad to remove severe defects, heavy wash scratches or sanding marks down to P1500. It is our recommended starting combination with Max Cut compound. The high-quality foam is particularly resistant to heat and delivers an even polishing result. If the cut is insufficient on very hard paint or GRP in your test spot, switch to Ultra Cut.
